Refund Policy

Try the free preview, then decide. All sales final — and you're grandfathered into every future update for life.

Effective 2026-05-23. This Refund Policy is incorporated into and forms part of the Terms of Service.

The policy in one sentence

Try the free preview first. All sales of Plinth Pro are final. In exchange, you get lifetime access — including every new question, every new feature, and every Stem Decoder update we ship from the day you purchase forward, with no subscription, no upgrade fee, and no expiration.

That's the deal. Use the preview to make sure the product is right for you. Once you buy, you're locked in to every improvement we make — forever.

1. Why no refund window

Plinth Pro is a one-time $20 purchase for lifetime access. The free preview is designed to give you a meaningful look at the product before you buy: practice questions, the Stem Decoder reference doc, the Compendium, navigation, the works. Because the preview exists, we don't offer a refund window.

Instead, every dollar of revenue funds new question authoring, new Stem Decoder amendments grounded in Anthropic's official materials, and feature work — all of which existing Pro users receive automatically. The cost of refunds for buyers who never used the preview would come out of that work.

2. What you get for the $20 — for life

  • Every question we add, including future scenario expansions and exam-pattern updates.
  • Every Stem Decoder amendment, including new decoder subsections grounded in Anthropic's official Engineering posts, Claude Code docs, MCP docs, and the public CCA-F exam guide.
  • Every new feature — dashboard analytics, hint level tracking, language overlays, mobile parity, anything we build.
  • Korean and English support, both for the question bank and the Stem Decoder.
  • Cross-device sync — your progress follows you between web and mobile.
  • No subscription, no auto-renew, no card stored after checkout.

If we raise the price for new buyers later, existing Pro accounts are not affected.

3. Try before you buy

The free preview is the place to evaluate Plinth before purchasing:

  • Sample practice questions across multiple domains and scenarios.
  • Browse the full Stem Decoder reference doc (1,200+ hints worth of decoding patterns, surfaced via a 17-section reference).
  • Browse the Compendium and external references.
  • Get a feel for the interface, the flagging workflow, and the review surfaces.

If the preview tells you Plinth isn't right for you, don't buy. We'd rather you walk away than purchase something that doesn't fit.

4. The narrow exceptions where we'll refund

We will issue a refund in a small number of objectively-broken cases:

  • Duplicate billing. You were charged twice for the same purchase. We refund the duplicate in full.
  • Entitlement failure. A bug on our side prevented you from receiving the Pro features you paid for, and we cannot resolve it within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Unauthorized purchase. The transaction was made fraudulently from your account, demonstrated to our reasonable satisfaction. (Please also notify your bank.)
  • Service shutdown. If we discontinue the Service entirely, we will offer a pro-rated refund to active paid users based on the time elapsed since purchase, up to but not exceeding the original purchase amount.
  • Mandatory consumer-protection law. Where your country's law mandates a refund window or cooling-off period for digital purchases (for example, the EU's 14-day cooling-off period under Directive 2011/83/EU for digital content where you haven't yet started consuming the content), we honor the legally-mandated minimum.

5. How to request a refund in an eligible case

  1. Email support@plinthprep.com from the email address on your Plinth account, with the subject line "Refund request".
  2. Briefly describe which exception (Section 4) applies and include any supporting detail (transaction IDs, bank statement, screenshot of the bug, etc.).
  3. We acknowledge within 48 hours and decide within 5 business days.
  4. If approved, the refund is initiated via Stripe; typical bank posting time is 5–10 business days from the refund initiation; some banks take up to 21 days.
  5. Your Plinth Pro entitlement is revoked at the time the refund is initiated. Your account remains; only the paid features are turned off.

6. Chargebacks

If you dispute a Plinth charge with your bank or card network instead of contacting us first, we treat that as a material breach of the Terms of Service. We will:

  1. Immediately suspend your account and revoke all access.
  2. Submit our evidence to Stripe and the card network, including timestamps of authorized purchase, account creation, IP addresses, and proof of Service access.
  3. If the dispute is decided in our favor, your account remains suspended; we are not obligated to refund the charge after the network process concludes.
  4. If the dispute is decided in your favor, we treat the chargeback as final and do not seek further recovery, but the account remains suspended.

Please contact support@plinthprep.com first. Chargebacks cost Plinth network fees on top of the disputed amount, even when we prevail, and are not the appropriate first step.

7. Gift purchases (future)

Plinth does not currently sell gift purchases or transferable codes. If we offer gift purchases in the future, this policy will be updated to address transfer, redemption, and reversal mechanics.

8. Subscription purchases (future)

Plinth is currently a one-time purchase and does not have a subscription product. If we ever offer a subscription product, the refund policy will be updated separately for that product. One-time lifetime purchases remain governed by this policy.

9. Disputes about a refund decision

If you disagree with how a refund request was handled, email admin@plinthprep.com with the subject line "Refund escalation". A second review will be conducted and a final answer provided within 14 days.
